Here's Ma Wouldn't again - revolting character as you all know :)  Everything about her person stinks - but I was able to find an 'almost'  large enough rubbish bin to dispose of this smelly character - all except the 'humming' trainers.  Look out those in the vicinity of the Lake District this weekend - the motley crew will arrive on your doorsteps for a little family bonding session - you'll see them first - arriving in a white Lada - no air fresh ornaments dangling from the rear view mirror - then of course you can follow their antics ;) - BO will lead the way :)

Need something clean and fresh - Pagoda Fountain at Alton Towers - the gardens are my favourite part of Altons Towers LOL ... get down amonst the gorgeous trees and shrubs and you can hardly hear the screams coming from the rides!  Carly and Kay enjoyed the white knuckle stuff and Paul and I hit the sedate slopes of the gorgeous gardens, lakes, summer houses .....  Kits used on this page: A Grand Day Out, Embossed Alpha Set 2, Weather Station, A Real Gem, Pets :)

MAY YOU BLOOM AND GROW

We all wish this for our children, right?  They they follow their dreams, be happy and live life to the full ... this is my wish for Carly.  She's studying her A'levels and it's tough and stressful, but she has a clear head ... and I love her unconditionally :)  Used kit 'Evitangel' to make this page - so proud of this kit which Heather and I put together :)

Kit was named in honour of Gabs (aka Evitangel) ... who is a godsend to the team.  I snitched this image from her - pictured with her two gorgeous children :)  Soe and Mo - aren't they just the cutest :)

Put this one together for Di Hickmans sketch blog - using one of Di's sketches!  Carly and I on a woodland walk behind our house - lots of bluebells around - I used to play in this wood as a kid - we'd pick armfuls of bluebells and deliver to all the neighbours... build camps in the wood - all the great things which we daren't let our Children do now.

Shawna and Leafa McBirdie ... gotcha :)  These two girls have become firm friends - we met online - we were on the same DT, met in person in the Summer of 2006 and never looked back.  Love them both to pieces :)

These 2 greeted us at Clchester Zoo - they were incredibly loud, and comical and beautiful.  Used Evitangel kit again for this one :)

SUNDAY CATCH-UP

So today I joined a great little group of girls at a crop - yep... scrapping of the paper variety.  Feels good now and again to mess around with some touchy-feely stuff (and use up some of my stash mountain).  Bought a few new goodies today - including a little pad or Noteworthy papers - cute little spiral-bound thingies I used on this layout :)

Hybrid layout - using DOODLED AND PAINTED ALPHA and HEARTS AND FLOWERS and printed the leaves from MIDNIGHT DIAMONDS onto transparency.  Bought this paper today too - as if I needed any more, but I couldn't resist!  This is Goofy's pad at Disneyland CA, Summer 2006.

Diane's class layout at the Redbourn Crop Circle earlier this month.  So many great little details on this one, including the gorgeous transparent hearts, which we edged with paint.  Carly pictured at Busch Gardens in Florida last year.

LIFE IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE MAKING OTHER PLANS

Heavens, where did the last 3 weeks go... life has been busy, but loving it :)  released a couple of big kits since the last update and even managed a few layouts too!  Carly pictured at Knotts Berry Farm in California - Summer 06, on this huge coaster - Paul told her to try it out before he'd go on it LOL (brave Daddy ... OR silly Daughter!)  Everything from COLOUR ME BEAUTIFUL.

This kit is full of great stuff ... check out the contents at the stores:  NDISB, Treasures to Scrap and ScrapScandiStyle ... where contents are all explained in detail.

Centre-piece of this kit, is the colour-wheel ... build your own to match the mood of the photo you're scrapping, your feelings, something which is your favourite or lucky ... the sky's the limit.  Spin the wheels, build to suit and use the pointers - anchoring them with a matching brad.

Page using COLOUR ME BEAUTIFUL ... moi... 19 years ago, wish my body was in the same condition now!  We were on a cruise to Bimini in the Bahamas, just leaving Miami - the ocean was as calm as anything, not a ripple... and I felt so sick LOL - couldn't take my eyes of the horizon!

Found this little beauty in a corner of Birdworld in Surrey ... matches my paper perfectly!  The 3 squares are 12x12 sheets reduced.  Also used Embossed Alpha from Set 2 and Lizards.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY :)

The snow has melted away here, but gathered up some coolness for todays entry :)  Those of a nervous disposition, please skip this first para... whilst I introduce "The Wouldn'ts" - a very disfunctional family of April Fools- fictitious of course ;) (unless any readers know different!).  Here's the lo-down on these weirdo's and a chance for you to get to know them a little, before they continue on their oh-so-boring lives - to be continued :)  The page also features a new alpha pack - 'Embossed Alpha's Set 1'.

(and I'm the Sweet Tart Fleck refers to LOL) ... Fleckster, you are one amazing talented lady... love you forever :)

She's even scrapped us contributors all on a page, along with a little thank-you.  I am so inspired by each and every layouts and the stunning photography.

SOMETHING OF MIXED ORIGIN AND COMPOSITION ...

... that's 'hybrid' - apparently and that's what I've been practicing in my scrapping - a whole 'lucky' 7 (yes 'seven LOL) paper layouts on this update - dunno what came over me :)  Also advertising my new alpha/ character set 'TYPE CAST' available tomorrow - Wednesday 26th March - it's one of those alpha's you can use again and again on digital creations and also easily printed and cut out to go on a paper (or hybrid) layout.  Also printed out flowers from 'Hearts and Flowers' and a leaf and hinge from 'Fresh'.

Another page on the same hybrid theme - printed out alpha, flowers, leaves, torn paper and hinge from my kit elements... a torn fabric strip and a few die-cuts.  Love this 'moody' image of St Pauls Cathedral - architecture is amazing, as are views from the top looking over the city.

'TYPE CAST' alpa on a digital layout :)  We had snow over the weekend - not alot, but enough to get some great pics of the white stuff.  Carly took this pic of us with my Mum at the zoo - it was the best day to be walking around there - very quiet (funnily enough) and extremely cold (we took a picnic too!), but we had the best chilled out and relaxing day.  Other kits used: A Grand Day Out, Fresh, A Little Sunshine, Chipboard Crazy and English Heritage.

Our team held a 'fan blinkie' contest at DST ... the designs were amazing, but we could only choose one winner and the honour goes to Melanie (Melli_777) for the gorgeous little 'flashing' creation - check out the top sidebar blinkie under heading 'Great Stuff' and GRAB ONE FOR YOURSELF... Here's Steve - our very own baby dinosaur, he's growing like a weed and is as gorgeous as ever :)  Armpits, shoulders and inside bra (anybody's bra) are his favourite places to snuggle up!  Page created using paper and elements from MIDNIGHT DIAMONDS.

Another hybrid page ... I prnted out the blue patterned paper, flowers, frame, hinge and tag - onto white card and cut everything out (very therapeutic!) and printed the leaves and bling (from Midnight Diamonds) onto transparency.  Kits used; Midnight Diamonds, Hearts and Flowers, Fresh.  Added some charms, bling brads, rub-ons, ceramic button and pages torn from an old filofax.

Another Carly photo - she's getting pretty nifty with the camera and has a good eye :)  Page started at our crop and finished with a few machine stitches at home.  This green reptile paper had been in my stash for months - just waiting for the right photo!

Another hybrid layout - taken by Jaqueline at SCRAPPENdoejezo in Ede, Holland last month.  This was the doodle workshop gang - we all got into a fantastic mess LOL ... and I finally got to meet Brigitte, so excited to meet at last :)  I used one of those plastic template thingies to cut the glitter card.  Leaves, notepaper and hinge are printed from my digital kits.

Hybrid again - started at our crop and I got stuck and finished at home LOL.  Flowers, Leaves, frame and tag printed from my digital kits onto white card ad cut out.  Hot-glue drizzled onto a piece of glass and peeled off - attached here with glue.  Image taken at Universal in Hollywood - one of the better images of Hollywood! :)

Finally got round to scrapping this photo - girls from our workshop in Ede August 07 - it was alot of fun to meet you ladies and to meet some of you again in February :)

KEYHOLE SHAPED

Lots of creating this week ... happily got my act together, with the help of the girls :) (internet and crop friends, bless their hearts).  We went to a local craft show and I was very good!!  just a book and a few embellishments - no paper!  Also, I haven't digi scrapped for a week or so, and felt the need - promised myself that I'll set aside at least a day of 'me' scrapping every week (that's the plan!)  3 new kits in the stores... and made this one mainly using the new 'FRESH' kit ... Big keyhole is from 'CHIPBOARD CRAZY' and layout features Carly at Kew Gardens.  Also used elements from Lizards, Land of Make Believe and Tiny Tags.  Quote labels made with thanks to Atomic Cupcake.

'FRESH' Elements Pack is packed to the hilt with fresh spring-like goodies ... and will see you through a multitude of layouts... this kit also includes a complete alphabet, numbers and 23 symbols no less!  The alpha tags are doodled, along with a doodled frame, corner, hinges and watercolour flowers on the frame - some of the doodles are in black and white as well as coloured.

I've thoroughly enjoyed scrapping this week, scanned some old photo's that I've been meaning to scrap for months.  I'm experimenting with drop shadows, not sure if I'm getting anywhere, but it's fun trying :)  Kits used: FRESH, Land of Make Believe, In Stitches, Tiny Tags and Oh Boy.  Elliott image and 'Pete's Dragon' title found on an internet search.

Carly looks so tiny here, can't remember the year, though could hazard a guess.  Photo taken at the entrance to SeaWorld in Orlando - a favourite place for us all.  Kits used: FRESH, Hearts and Flowers and A Little Sunshine.  Little fish are brushes (but can't remember who I need to credit!).  I'm a huge journaling fan and confess to waffling on and on and..... :)

What on eart was I thinking LOL - get a load of the boobs ... before they went south and when I had a waist - Malta 1980, mmm I remember it well LOL ... can remember us girls visiting churches and being swathed in headscarfs - to cover our flesh (almost ran out of headscarfs!).  I often wonder what it would be like to go back there now, my friend Jo went a couple of years ago and I think nothing much has changed.  Kits used: A Little Sunshine, Fresh, Lizards, English Heritage, Baby Love, Land of Make Believe and Art Explosion... very spicy :)

ANN... this one's for you - remember?! LOL ... a school trip to Holland and Belgium - a few years ago!  We were in a Dutch fishing village, I thought it may be Marken - but not sure - if anybody knows, please drop me a line :)  Everybody dressed up in costume, uncomfortable clogs and all.  Kits used: A Little Sunshine, A Grand Day Out, Fresh ... windmill is Microsoft clip-art and chain is a brush... happy memories :)

This cute little moth had attached itself to the outside of our patio doors, so I was able to get a 360deg view... sort of looks like little bunny ears and it's body is all fluffy ... bog standard moth to the naked eye - high 5 for macro mode.  Kits used: A Little Sunshine, Cartoon Capers, Baby Love, A Real Gem and Luisa's Debut.

Created for Di Hickmans blog and using one of her fabulous sketches ... photographed at Kew Gardens  - 6 small photo's are from the aquarium - hidden inside one of the glass houses.  Gorgeous place to visit at any time of year.  Kit used: A Little Sunshine.

We had alot of fun at our crop yesterday... a little food... a little scrapping and alot of chat  and great company :)  And look at all that stash!!!!!!!! and line-up of colourful totes; must have been thousands of £'s of stuff in that room :)

Carly would have been 2 or just turned 3 here ... and Sweep the little grey dog, went everywhere with her.  I used to design stuff in crochet - childrens clothes and toys mainly, she was a very reluctant model!  Kits used: Chipboard Crazy, A Grand Day Out, A Delicate Touch, Pets, Hearts and Flowers and Fresh; title lettering from a kit for my Guest CT, stickman from Cartoon Capers, In Stitches. I'm glad I finally got some of these photo's scrapped, in the days before I went digi, and intent on getting at least one good photo, I went through several rolls of film and trips to Boots!

Almost forgot to advertise this one - just for the boys in your life.  After Land of Make Believe, I had requests to make a 'boy' kit - so a few doodles later and Oh Boy was born. A collection of 24 hand drawn elements - 21 have been hand coloured and the clouds were digitally made; 2 coloured frames and a brush set.

BE HAPPY, IT'S ONE WAY OF BEING WISE ...

... not sure who quoted this, but it's a great one :)  This layout uses one of my new alpha/numeric character sets available exclusively at the Sophia Sarducci store today.  It has a plush velvet texture, encrusted with metallic stars - with added stitching and monogram letters are BIG - and can be made smaller too :)  The Disneyland Castle in California is very small but perfectly formed :)

This alpha set is kind of magical looking and would look fantastic on any themed page ... or print out onto photo paper, or card and cut out to use on a hybrid project.  Grab yourself a bargain in the mad Monday sale at Sophia's.

Had a really fantastic weekend - much needed and in the company of friends...  Saturday I spent the whole day at a crop - Diane and Lynda have a wonderful set up - I was a little nervous going, but so glad I did - It felt good to meet friends I already knew and make some new ones too.  The atmosphere was the best and I want to thank Diane, Lynda and ALL the girls for making me feel so welcome (thanks to Janine for allowing me to post pics of Maisie).

Made this one especially for 4 year old Maisie - a scrapping superstar in the making.  She was an angel... and so reminded me of Carly when she was of similar age - loved stickers and anything bright and sparkly.  She made some stunning layouts - and deserved a magical page all to herself - I added your bunny and cat Maisie (I know I may have the colours wrong!) and I remember the horse too :)

Diane's chalking class went down a storm... how many of us have chalks (and eye-shadow) tucked away and forgotten about).  There were some stunning layouts ... I added some rub-ons and a journal block to mine - other than that - it's just cardstock, Versamark and chalk.  My photo looked really stark white, so I chalked that too :)

Our guest CT is finally chosen.  Gabs and I had a difficult job of short-listing 2 girls - the work was amazing - we couldn't just choose 2, so we chose 15 LOL.  Announcements is in a thread at DST HERE - not sure if you need to register for the link to work, but please welcome these talented artists, we look forward to working with them all :)

Was good to be in Holland again last weekend.  Big thanks to Dorenda and Dennis at SCRAPPENdoejezo for putting a roof over my head and feeding me :) and to the girls for making my stay fun - they have the best shop and staff.  So excited - I finally got to meet Brigitte - we chat all the time!!!  Thank you all for attending the workshops - I had a blast.  Special thanks to Iris - for everything and to Monique - just back from CHA in Anaheim with a 'digi' t-shirt big enough for me :)  Remember our little chat Monique :) hehe

Photo of the girls in the 'doodle' workshop and the example layout here.  Fantastic to see so many combinations - they were all stunners.  And all those who said "I can't doodle" LOL (yeah right - you didn't convince me :)), wish you could see them all close-up - amazing.  Group photo is clickable - for a little closer look.  I taught 4 workshops over the weekend - and we had a glorious messy time with the glue and silver leaf - everyone was sparkling by the time we'd finished LOL.  I'll be adding workshop photo's as soon as I can girls, OK :)

My buddy Bernadette Hunt, let me loose in her store at NDISB (yummy - you have to check it out!) - apart from the title alpha and Tiny Tags, everything else is from B's kits - I especially love the rusty hinge and gorgeous, sumptuous ribbon :)  Photo taken at Disneyland California - the amazing Disney details - just have to remember to look up :)

With all the issues of piracy this week, Gabs - my extraordinary CT Co-ordinator, came up with a fantastic idea - for both Designers and CT girls working as one - creating with other peoples kits - I played as a Designer - issuing 'Oh Boy' kits for the girls to play with and then used Peggy's new kit 'Something to Remember - New Life Dreams' - and it's one very gorgeous dreamy kit - check out Peggy's blog :)   

I had this urge to use pink (a rarity for me) - and then remembered the photo's we snapped at Sandringham last year.  We'd chosen the wrong day to look around the house, but the weather and grounds were glorious - butterflies and wildlife everywhere.  Layout created using my kits: 'Pets', 'Land of Make Believe', 'Spellbound', 'Hearts and Flowers', 'Chocolate Sensation', 'New Beginnings', 'Art Explosion' and 'Baby Love'.

Journaling on this layout speaks for itself I think - the only thing you don't see is me panicking when Carly rang me from the lion enclosure - all excited - to tell me that this lioness was attempting to gain access to the car in front!!  She got some fabulous photo's though LOL (look at her teeth around the door handle!).  Created using my kits: 'Oh Boy', Green for 'Go alpha', 'Hearts and Flowers', 'New Beginnings', 'Pets' and stitching is taken from 'Tiny Tags' kit.

Another paper layout LOL - Sandringham House - the grounds were amazing, especially the view across the lake - a little boat house in a cave and follies.  Doesn't seem almost a year ago we were there.
