COLOUR SPEAKS ALL LANGUAGES
... not sure where that quote came from but I like it :D Heck... we're in May, where does the time go? Not long til our holiday and I've started panicking about the diet - the non-existent diet I promised to start in January... gawd! Carly's got through her first GCSE exam (Art), she's pleased how everything went - fingers crossed for her. Paul's working like a trojan - bless him - he loves it - he's a born salesman :D We've had some lovely walks in the countryside - taking pics of bluebells... bugs and rape fields LOL... and I've been scrapping :D... LOTS
Did this one at Lorraines crop last weekend... see, I didn't spend all day talking :) LOL Photo taken by Carly at London Zoo last month - she's getting a bit good with the camera :)
Lettering Delights alphabet (again)... printed some brushes onto transparency and I made my own little journaling box in Photoshop. I've gone all bright with my colour-schemes :)
My entry for the next round of the contest over at The Chalet... our inspiration this week was a LO by our own babe - Jeanne :D Pic of Carly taken at Busch Gardens on our last visit to Florida in 2005... this little cutie was a rare find in a corner of the park.
I made the green and turquoise paper in Photoshop - soon to be in a new free digi kit at A Spoonful of Sprinkles . The flowers are sketched, outlined with a fine black permanent marker ( my new best friend) and painted with watercolour crayons - then curled at the edges.
Doodling technique LO for A Spoonful of Sprinkles - I used just 3 sheets of cardstock, 2 blossoms and my black marker. I first doodled on the back of the card, cut out and outlined the pieces with my marker.
Obviously the texture doesn't show up on the whole layout image!!! but better luck with this one LOL
Everything is hand sketched nd cut out with sharp scissors - except on the orange cardstock, I used a rotary cutter to cut the curved bit behind the flowers. Just doodle away and have fun :D
Yep - another Lettering Delights alpha LOL and the starfish images are PC Hugware. Photo taken on a trip to Hunstanton a while ago now - on a fossil hunting trip - where starfish were out in force. I designed and crocheted the starfish - it started life as a flower - but more resembled a starfist LOL If you would like a copy of the pattern, just leave a comment under this post - stating that you'd like one, and I'll get a copy to you, no problem.
Patterned paper is mainly Fancy Pants and Cosmo Cricket. Maya Road chipboard swirls and corner have been painted with acrylic paint and lightly inked at the edges.
There had to be a zoo layout, a post wouldn't be complete without it LOL Cuddly bear at Whipsnade - mesmerised by it's claw :) Basic Grey and Fancy Pants patterned paper... and another Lettering Delights alphabet - coated with Diamond Glaze.
I'm in love with these Prima flowers - bough me a couple of buckets of them at Ally Pally :D Chipboard corner is Fancy Pants - inked and heat set with Amazing Glaze.
And finally - a new online photography workshop - Painting with Light - by Cheryl Johnson - check out Cheryl's blog for further details and sign-ups. Wishing you every success with your new venture CJ :D
Thank you so much for visiting me - I LOVE to see you here :D XXX (and I had posted so much more, but lost the lot!!!) gotta love Typepad :)
